Our Yoga Teacher Certification Journey
01- Registration
Because we offer an in-person, specialized training near London, Ontario, Canada, we have a limited number of openings. To reserve a spot or to get more details, please contact us through the contact form.
02 - Onboarding
After reserving a limited spot, students connect with members of our team to start the onboarding process. This will cover details such as the manual, location, dates and graduation requirements. Don’t worry; all of your questions will be addressed.
03- Training & Community
Our yoga teacher training is divided into two main methods:

In-person yoga training.
-
Live, online yoga training.
Our in-person immersions take place 10 minutes south of London, Ontario, on our beautiful wellness farm. Students are surrounded by like-minded people to build meaningful connections and get hands-on teaching experience. Digital trainings run as live, online classes. Students are provided access links in advance.

Our training covers a wide-range of topics, including but not limited to:

Trauma-Informed Yoga poses - Learn 20 essential poses with detailed context, including: pose benefits, modifications, trauma-informed cues, transitions, alignment tips and hands-on assists.

Mind-Body Skills - Learn the fundamentals of mindfulness, breath work, vagal toning, chakras, mudras, and mantras.

Learn the Neurobiology and Psychology of Yoga - Build an understanding of their effects on the nervous system, emotional management and pain modulation.

Natural & Equine Immersion - Utilize our rural setting and horses for personal empowerment and connection – there is no riding, and students do not have to come in contact with horses as part of the curriculum.

Judgement-Free Teaching Practice - Practice how to teach and guide students in a supportive, non-judgemental environment where mistakes and social anxiety are supported.

Alignment & Anatomy - Learn the principles of alignment and anatomy, including the skeletal and muscular systems as well as their importance in yoga.

Deepen Knowledge - Learn about the Yoga Sutras, the 8 limbs of Yoga, Yamas & Niyamas, the Bhagavad Gita, and the evolution of yoga.

Ayurveda Studies - Dive into the sister science of yoga to learn about it's diverse tenants of healing and holistic wellness.

1:1 Coaching & Close Personal Connections - Our in-person immersions and digital trainings provide the opportunity for 1:1 guidance and the ability to form life-long connections with fellow peers. Community and supportive connection is an important component of Yoga.

04 - Graduation & Post-Graduation
To graduate from our program, there are a series of milestones:

Complete all in-person immersions (There are 4 total in-person immersions during the training which are held on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays).

Attend all digital classes or recorded sessions (if missed).

Complete required quizzes, projects and teaching exercises.
More details are provided in the FAQ and during the onboarding process on the specifics of the graduation.
At the end, you will receive:

A 200 HR Yoga Certification that can be used to register with Canadian Yoga Alliance and Yoga Alliance (pending).

Life-long connections and mentorship.

If one wishes, yoga can be a lucrative side hustle, full-time job, be integrated with an existing profession or be a core component to an online, merchandise or holistic business venture. There are truly no limits, which is why it’s so appealing.
Studying yoga at a professional level allows you to tailor the training to your own needs and goals. There is no standard way to apply the knowledge gained from this program—only the way best for you.

We get out of life what we invest in ourselves. Your tuition investment covers the cost of the training (200 hours by certified instructors), the manual, in-person immersions and on-going support. Students are encouraged to pick the payment plan best for them.

Our Teaching Approach
What is Trauma-Informed Yoga?
Trauma-informed yoga is a specialized approach to yoga and mindfulness that recognizes and responds to the unique needs of people who have experience with trauma, mental health and chronic pain challenges.

It teaches instrumental skills in the following:
Safety and Comfort: A crucial step in trauma-informed yoga is creating an accessible environment where individuals feel physically and psychologically secure. We use carefully designed spaces, arrangements, pose adaptations, cues, and language which is better suited to the diverse wellness landscape.
Choice and Empowerment: When done right, yoga and mindfulness are tools for fostering self-empowerment, control, and autonomy. We teach students how to allow their clients to feel empowered in their own yoga journey.
Mind-Body Connection: Trauma, mental health challenges, and chronic pain can disrupt the connection between mind and body. Yoga, mindfulness and breath work offer valuable techniques for managing the autonomic nervous system, reducing inflammation, enhancing functional strength and building emotional regulation. Our curriculum is designed to teach these skills in a user-friendly, accommodating manner.
Trauma-Informed Yoga is about designing yoga and mindfulness practices to be more accommodating to diverse backgrounds. It’s a specialty training, and one we’re proud to be on the forefront of.
